This is what childhood is supposed to feel like.

A nature-based learning space where children get muddy, build things, explore creeks and grow - season by season - into curious little humans.

☼ Clarington, Ontario

For the parent who’s been quietly wondering…

Is this the right environment for my child?

Why does drop-off feel so hard?

Why does my kid seem restless, overstimulated, a little lost?

You're not overthinking it. You're paying attention.

The families who find Muddy Boots are thoughtful, intentional and lightly questioning the "normal" way of doing things.

They want something different: a space that slows things down.

A space where their child can breathe.

Walk the trails with us

Whole Child Development.

We don't just teach, we support how children are actually designed to grow. Through movement, risk, wonder, and connection to the natural world.

Rooted In The Seasons.

No two days look the same here. The forest changes, the children change and the learning follows.

A Gentle Correction.

We're not anti-school. We're pro-childhood. Muddy Boots exists to restore what gets lost in structured environments: freedom, curiosity, and the joy of figuring things out yourself.

  • "Muddy Boots is not just an ordinary nature-based school or daycare - it's a truly special place where children grow, explore, and connect with nature every single day. At Muddy Boots, children don't just learn; they thrive. They grow emotionally, physically, and socially, and most of all, they develop a deep love and appreciation for nature and being outdoors. It's a place filled with warmth, laughter, and muddy hands - and I couldn't imagine a better environment for kids to experience the wonder of childhood."

  • "What stood out most to us was how much their independence has soared. We've seen such a beautiful shift in their confidence, decision-making, and resilience. They've become more capable, more curious, and so proud of what they can do on their own. Christine (Kiki) has created something truly special - a space that feels warm, intentional, and deeply respectful of each child."

  • "It's rare to find a space that feels so deeply rooted in the values that matter most to us. Muddy Boots Academy has given Levi a place to grow, explore, and truly be a kid - and for that I'm endlessly grateful."
